This weekend I went to visit the exhibition of Olafur Eliasson in Tate modern. Olafur Eliasson is an Icelandic installation artist who specializes in exposing his artistic ideas by creating immersive devices that give the audience a wonderful experience. The theme of this exhibition is in real life. The Tate modern official website profile says, “In the eliasson installation, you will feel yourself, the people around you and the feelings of being in the world.”

The entire exhibition has a lot of interactive art, such as “your uncertainty shadow (colour)”. A five-color projection lamp will cast your shadow on the wall, and the shadow will change with your movements and your distance from the lights. One of the works that surprised me was “your blind passenger”. The whole installation art is a misty corridor. The fog is white at first, and then gradually changes to a thick orange. The visibility of the entire corridor is very low, only a small part of the front, so the initial feeling is “uncomfortable”, like a blind person, can only slowly explore the progress. Eliasson explained the art of this installation is Such “feeling is another way of seeing”, in this space, the feeling is indeed another form of seeing, exploring the corridor with your feet, touching the wall with your hands, these feelings form part of the “seeing”.
