Dee, C. (2001). Form and Fabric in Landscape Architecture: A Visual Introduction. New York: Spon Press.

This book introduces the form and structure of landscape architecture and provides a primitive visual approach to landscape architecture research by creating spatial forms based on landscape use and experience. Explore the concepts of aesthetics, space, and experience by providing a structure that can understand and conceive landscapes in design. From this book, readers can see the integrated design of holistic and integrated sites, such as the integration of space and path. The authors combine the terrain, vegetation, structure and water to design stairs and guardrails to save space to a certain extent. Beautiful.

In modern life, there are many types of stairs. For designers, the most important thing is to consider the stability of the stairs and the use of space. This book not only introduces different kinds of stairs, but also analyzes different types of stairs. Advantages and disadvantages allow readers to have different levels of interpretation of the design of the stairs.

Eliasson, O. & Susan, M. (2004). The Weather Project. London: Tate.

On visiting the Olafur Eliasson Exhibition at Tate Modern, I was keen to learn more about Olafur Eliasson’s design works and have a copy of the exhibition book. In this book, Olafur (2004) believes that human perception and subjectivity are related and should be explored through practice and the boundaries between nature and culture. I can clearly learn from this book that Olafur (2004) takes the ubiquitous weather problem as a starting point and conducts in-depth research and explores the idea of space and time quality. This process eventually culminated in his extraordinary installation in Tate Modern. The entire exhibition is internationally renowned for its arousal and perception of nature, from misty rooms to rainbows and lighting fixtures, combined with modern technology to create an unparalleled beauty.

This book focuses on introducing Gormley’s sculptural thoughts and positioning his career and artistic philosophy in history. Readers can understand the relationship between body and space through this book. Gormley can make readers feel the existence of life and human beings timelier through his sculptures. The author expresses his emotions in a direct way of sculpture, interprets the relationship between sculpture and art from a deeper level, and gives readers better visual effects. In the author’s cognition, sculpture is not a simple artistic expression. Sculpture is a bridge from reality to the unknown. Readers and viewers can get a unique feeling that we are in space, but space also exists in us.

Kemp, M. (2006). Leonardo Da Vinci: Experience, Experiment and Design. London:  V&A.

This book introduces Leonardo Di Piero da Vinci’s masterpieces Mona Lisa, The Last Supper, The Madonna of the Rocks, etc., which reflects his superb artistic attainments. He believes that the most beautiful research object in nature is the human body. The human body is the wonderful work of nature. The painter should focus on the human being.

This book focuses on the analysis of the Virgin of the Rocks. The artist is not limited by religious subjects in this painting but expresses this theme with a secular life feeling. In order to fill the character with a love of nature, he changed the so-called sacred meeting between Jesus and John into two innocent children playing at the water’s edge. But in order to point out the religious meaning, I have to make some annotations from the action, such as the little Jesus with the right finger pointing to John, the angel sitting on the ground on the right, as the beautiful messenger who came to the world from the sky, the face showed Da Vinci’s smile formula, right-handed on this scene of baptized drama, also seems to shelter them like relatives. Obviously, the painter is determined here to focus on the Virgin, giving the picture the appeal of solemnity, warmth and the blessed motherly love, rather than the life of some kind of suffering, hardship and fear. The Madonna in the middle holds John in one hand and comforts Jesus in the other, reflecting the great motherhood power of human beings.

This book summarizes the development of printing technology and has formed a pattern in which both traditional printing and digital printing coexist.

The author analyzes the strengths and weaknesses of traditional and digital printing.

Disadvantages of traditional printing

1. Traditional printing uses more electricity, consumes more energy and has serious pollution;

3, subject to the restrictions of the plate, the size of the flower is also limited, too large patterns cannot be printed;

4. Due to time and cost constraints, the plate making time is too long and the process is cumbersome, while the small batch and high cost;

5, the pattern requirements limit the designer’s flower design.

The advantages of digital printing

1. Digital printing has technical advantages and computer software design patterns.

2, high precision printing

3, green environmental protection.

Waters, C. (2008). A History of Art for Beginners and Students Painting, Sculpture, Architecture. New York: H.N. Abrams.

This book contains an appreciation of the sculptures of Adam Martinakis, a sculpture artist from Athens who specializes in the creation of digital character sculptures and presents surrealist figures through three-dimensional rendering. The Athens artist Adam Martinoquis created the digital sculpture of the futuristic character. Each 3D rendering has its own life, showing a surreal depiction of the human form. Martinickis successfully conveyed an emotional appeal through one piece after another. The incomplete form looks like a solid, usually metallic, existing and delicate structure that can be shredded into one million pieces. In fact, many of Martinu’s digital sculptures are segmented. Just as the beautiful Frankenstein creatures are pieced together, the artist presents a visual interpretation of the human condition by constantly searching for goals.

The filming of Tim Walke in this book gives readers a powerful visual impact, both in the early research and in the filming process, which reflects the author’s strong personal color. The unique aura of the picture is even a horrible beauty, people usually think that this is the effect of photoshop synthesis, but in fact these dreams are the visual effects of the author based on his own understanding and perception of the work. This book allows the reader to recognize a storytelling photographer, a magician who will photograph. The author will always conceive everything in the first moment, which is the perfect picture appeared in his mind, and then he will determine what kind of model he needs and what kind of lighting to use based on this illusory picture.
